COMBATE

Durational performance where I stayed for eight days in the Military Museum Comando do Sul (MCCC) in Porto Alegre. I set out to be there in relation to the tanks, combat cars and cannons. I invited eight women in the art field to each bring me a survival kit of their choosing. Each one of them was instigated by the concept of sorority. I got there earring only a white jumpsuit and each day with each visit a poetic-politic collection was built, as well as survival materials to get by the days, such as food and clothing. This performance tries to create a counterpoint between the military universe (patriarchal) and the supposed frailness of a woman’s body.

This performance was streamed live through Instagram and youtube during the exhibition AORISTA at ECARTA Foundation through a QR Code.
